Nowak, ja eigentlich ein recht gewöhnlicher Name, wenn da nicht mein Großvater gewesen wäre, der eigentlich nur als der Erzeuger gedient hat …
Das eine oder andere über die Nowak/Novak habe ich ja bereits in meinem Blog geschrieben. Und wirklich viel Wissen habe ich auch nicht über den Namen an sich ~ ausser:
- Nowa(c)k (ostd-slaw) = Neumann
- Neumann (dd.) Naumann (md.) Niedermann (ndd.): der neu Zugezogene
Allerdings ist die Linie der Nowaks sowohl in die Zukunft, als auch in die Vergangenheit eine sehr interessante. Erwin Nowak ging in die USA, heiratete noch zweimal, hatte weitere Kinder und lebte dort bis zu seinem Tod.
Auch die Vorfahren führen mich in eine Region in der ich bisher wenig geforscht habe, oder auch nur Daten sammeln konnte. Die Nowak werden mir dann wohl noch einige spannende Stunden bieten …
