Early december I checked the tree-tops of my research and found several dead-ends. Also one end is at the ancestors of Johann Jakob Deutsch and Franziska Mayer in Stettfeld, BW, Germany! The best idea in that case – send an email to one of the mailinglists …
Direct after my posting I got an email from Ann Francesconi with great informations. Ann works at a Family History Center as an volunteer, has the Stettfeld films on permanent loan and will try to look for my family.
Some weeks after the emails, I got the first images from Ann with an family compilation from the stettfeld churchbooks. We got a hit – this is my Deutsch/Mayer family. Ann did a great job in the next days and I got a couple of images from the Stettfeld churchbook and could trace my family back for two more generations in Stettfeld …
